A simple and robust measuring console for your sensors
The XA-m console is an electronic readout and data acquisition console designed to interface with force and torque sensors from the ACRN series. Compact, rugged, and maintenance-free, it is suitable for use on production lines, in quality control laboratories, or in field conditions.
Its key feature is the MICA® connector system: the console automatically recognizes the connected sensor and retrieves its specifications (full scale, gain, calibration date) without requiring manual configuration. This automatic recognition eliminates the risk of configuration errors and ensures that the displayed measurement always matches the actual characteristics of the connected sensor.
Programming is done via a 3-button interface, and the results are displayed on a graphic LCD screen that is easy to read even in low-light conditions. The rechargeable 12V battery provides full autonomy without the need for a power outlet.

Functions and modes of the xa measurement console
Peak mode and tracking mode
The XA-m offers two measurement modes designed for different types of tests. Peak mode captures and records the maximum value reached during a test—ideal for pull-off force, mechanical strength, or removal torque tests. Tracking mode displays the value in real time, making it suitable for continuous measurements or monitoring applied force.
Memory and Programs
The console stores up to 200 values in its internal memory and allows you to save 15 programs with configurable minimum and maximum thresholds. This feature allows you to define compliance ranges for each product SKU and quickly switch between programs on a multi-SKU line.
Filtering and sampling rate
The 1 kHz sampling rate, combined with four selectable filters, allows the console to be adapted to a range of measurement dynamics: from slow quasi-static measurements to fast dynamic tests requiring high temporal resolution.
RS232 connectivity and data export
The built-in RS232 port allows connection to a PC for exporting data to DataXport® software or any other data acquisition system. An RS232-to-USB cable is available as an option for modern PCs.

Applications
The XA-m console is used in conjunction with ACRN sensors in the following applications:
Torque control in a screwdriver
When used in conjunction with the ACRN onboard torque sensor, the XA-m displays and records torque readings directly from the industrial screwdriver, with compliance threshold management.
Force measurement using sensors
Interfacing with ACRN force cells and tension/compression sensors for quality control applications in production or in the laboratory.
Procurement and Traceability
Export measurements to a PC via RS232 or USB for integration into quality management systems, SPC systems, or traceability databases.
