Digital torque wrench controller

Digital torque wrench controller

The Dremotest E is a digital torque wrench tester designed to verify and adjust the trigger or display value of torque wrenches in a workshop or laboratory. It measures the torque applied by the wrench with an accuracy of ±1% across the entire measurement range—a higher accuracy than that of most of the wrenches it is designed to test.

The operating principle is simple: the operator positions the wrench on the side of the device and applies torque. The value appears immediately on the digital display. The results can be exported to a PC via the RS232 port for archiving and traceability. The product line includes five models ranging from 0.2 to 3,000 N·m, with resolutions ranging from 0.001 N·m for the smaller models to 1 N·m for the larger ones.

The Dremotest E comes with all necessary accessories (adapter, power cord, connectors, and calibration certificate) and is ready to use right out of the box. Its lightweight yet durable design is backed by a 2-year warranty and ACRN’s after-sales service.

Description

Why should you check your torque wrenches?

A torque wrench is a measuring instrument—like any instrument, it loses accuracy over time and with use. Shocks, spring fatigue, mechanical wear, and temperature fluctuations gradually affect the accuracy of the trigger or display. A torque wrench that triggers at 25 N·m when set to 20 N·m can result in insufficient tightening, leaks, or assembly failures that are invisible to the naked eye.

ISO 6789 requires periodic verification of torque wrenches used in quality control processes. It recommends an inspection after every major impact, after 5,000 cycles of use, or once a year. The Dremotest E allows this verification to be performed in-house, without having to send the keys to an external laboratory—which represents significant time and cost savings for workshops with a large inventory of keys.

Applications

The Dremotest E is used in all industrial sectors where torque wrenches are used for critical tightening applications:

Automotive and aerospace industries

Periodic inspection of keys at assembly stations, in accordance with the requirements of the monitoring plans and quality standards (ISO/TS 16949, EN 9100).

Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals

inspection of the tools used for capping and tightening operations on packaging lines, in accordance with GMP and ISO 9001 requirements.

Industrial Maintenance

Verification of maintenance teams’ wrenches before working on critical equipment (valves, flanges, safety fasteners).

Metrology Laboratories

Use as a transfer standard for the calibration and verification of torque wrenches in accredited or in-house laboratories.

The Dremotest E is an easy-to-use digital torque wrench tester offering precise measurement. With this measuring instrument, you can export your data to Hyper Terminal software via an RS232 output. Its simple, lightweight design guarantees a long service life for this equipment. The Dremotest is available in 5 different versions ranging from 0.2 to 3,000 N.m.
