Preset torque wrench model RSPK
Torque wrench with preset release
The RSPK torque wrench is a preset trigger-type wrench equipped with a closed-eye head offset by 45°. This unique design allows it to reach bolts located in tight or congested areas that are inaccessible with a standard-head torque wrench or a flat-head wrench.
The torque value is preset at the factory or by the user for a specific combination of fastener size and tightening torque. When the preset torque is reached, the trigger is both tactile and audible, instantly confirming to the operator that the tightening is correct—without requiring any further verification. The device resets automatically after each activation.
The RSPK series covers a torque range of 0.5 to 430 N·m, with 10 models available and a wide selection of jaw openings (from 5.5 to 65 mm). It is available with a standard metal handle or a rubber grip (model RSPKH) for greater comfort during heavy use.
Description
When should you choose RSPK?
Batch clamping on a production line
The RSPK is the ideal solution for repeatedly tightening numerous identical fasteners (same size, same torque) on an assembly line. The fixed preset eliminates any risk of adjustment errors between cycles, and the automatic reset allows for a sustained work pace without additional steps.
Access to congested areas
The 45° offset closed-end socket allows you to reach bolts in spaces where a standard ratchet or torque wrench cannot fit. This is a key advantage in dense mechanical assemblies, vehicle bodies, compact industrial equipment, or installations in confined spaces.
Quality control on the production line
In environments where torque traceability is required, the RSPK provides clear sensory feedback (sound and tactile sensation) for every torque application that meets specifications. It complies with the requirements of quality control plans that specify a defined torque value.
Calibration and Traceability
Every RSPK torque wrench comes with a calibration certificate. The guaranteed accuracy is ±3% of the preset torque value, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 6789 standards applicable to trigger-type torque wrenches.
ACRN offers a periodic calibration service for torque wrenches at its metrology laboratory in Normandy. Annual calibration is recommended to maintain the metrological traceability required by ISO 9001 quality management systems and production line monitoring plans.
The ACRN torque wrench tester also allows you to verify the RSPK’s trigger value during production without having to send it back to the lab.
