Precise crimping in a single step

A single lever movement (approximately 100°) is all that is needed to achieve a complete and consistent crimp. The lever stroke is calibrated to ensure consistent crimping pressure, regardless of the operator. This simple mechanical principle eliminates variations caused by manual force and ensures consistent crimping quality throughout the entire production run.

Interchangeable heads in just a few seconds

Replacing the crimping head is a quick process that does not require any special tools. Once secured, the heads are ready for immediate reuse. This modular design allows for switching between pump diameters without significant downtime, which is particularly useful in multi-product production environments.

An integrated bottle holder for precise positioning

The bottle holder ensures that the bottle remains centered and stable during the crimping process, reducing the risk of off-center or incomplete crimping. It is designed to fit standard perfume bottle shapes and can be adjusted to accommodate the specific bottle size.

Bottle crimping: What is it?

Crimping is a mechanical process that involves plastically deforming the metal skirt of a pump or spray nozzle to permanently secure it to the neck of a bottle. This is the standard process used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries for packaging perfumes, eaux de toilette, nasal sprays, and skincare products in pressurized bottles.

Proper crimping ensures the bottle is airtight, the pump functions properly, and the product complies with applicable regulatory requirements for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Inadequate crimping can lead to leaks, product contamination, or rejection during in-line quality control.

The crimping diameter must match the diameter of the pump being used exactly—which is why the AP93/L is available with crimping heads for standard diameters of 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, and 20 mm, covering the majority of pump sizes used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
