The 4-step process:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Immersion: The package is placed in the tank filled with water and held submerged by the perforated Plexiglas presser.<\/li>\n<li>Vacuum application: The chamber is closed, and a vacuum is gradually applied via the compressed air supply. The vacuum expands the air inside the package.<\/li>\n<li>Observation: The operator observes the surface of the package through the transparent box. Any leak is indicated by a continuous or intermittent stream of bubbles at the location of the defect.<\/li>\n<li>Reading and result: The vacuum level reached and the duration of the test are read on the vacuum gauge.
